We did not have some of these rules early on, and the site turned into a huge mess of e-mail addresses and URLs and the real content of the listings was lost. Other rules ensure that intent and commitment are sincere and that support and administration is justly compensated. There aren't that many, so please try to follow them:

• To accept credit card orders through Cyberattic, an Authorize.net gateway account will be necessary. This applies immediately to all new (and recent) registrants. If credit cards are accepted only through PayPal, an Authorize.net gateway account is not necessary. And you may be able to process orders by phone depending on your processor's rules. • Subscription fees are paid in advance and are non-refundable. This allows us to keep subscription fees as well as support and admin costs low for all. If you are not certain of ability to use our features or appropriateness of business fit, consider our shorter subscription period when first trying. Your registration is your explicit commitment to this and below terms.
  
  
• No hyperlinks or URLs tags may appear in listings. Limited HTML permitted includes only paragraph tags <p> and line break tags <br>.
  
  
• Your e-mail address, other contact information, and links to supporting information is automatically included with listings. Do not add to this and do not add promotional statements not pertaining directly and exclusively to the listing at hand.
  
  
• This site is for the sale of collectibles and antiques. If you want to sell something else we should discuss it in advance.
  
  
• Use of the space for purposes other than selling listed items is not allowed.
  
  
• Posting of duplicate listings is not allowed. The ability to select a second category is as far as this extends.
  
  
• Do not select a category which is not appropriate for either the first or the second category. If necessary, use the 'Miscellaneous' category.
  
  
• Unethical treatment of customers is not allowed. We can't spend time dealing with the complaints from angry customers. Happily we've had very few since we went on-line in March, 1996.
  
  

Violators will be banished from participation in Cyberattic category and search pages. Severe offenders will be removed entirely.
