We believe this precious little "high Intensity light" dates to late 1940s, 1950s. It's adjustable, made of a hard plastic, has a front base switch "hi, off, low." Patented by Hamilton Industries, "made in Japan," with all particulars on the base. The lower base is metal with a bit of rust around the edges.
