This is a gorgeous jewelry set made in Taxco by maker JSE, (signed on all pieces) who is listed in Billie Hougart’s book, The Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks. From the style and lack of workshop number, I believe this dates to the 1940s. This set is heavy and substantial with a beautiful folkloric-style design that shows variation in the three pieces. This pendant dates to the art deco era--late 1920s-1930s, when after the discovery of the tomb of King Tut, Egyptian motifs were all the rage. Pendant is made of speckled green catalin plastic, a type of bakelite, with a molded brass Pharoah’s head (perhaps meant to be Tut) accented with red and gold “egyptian” decoration. Comes with very nice and heavy brass link chain.

Soooo Deco, tall and wide, "architectural" Candleholders. The are 12" tall, 16-1/2" from one outside of the foot to the other. Each has a metal ring attached at the very underneath center of the bobeches, presumably so you could hang something if you choose. These are quite striking; imagine them with candles. There's quite a bit of varnish loss, visible in the photos, but no real damage. A little sanding, cleaning, and revarnishing might do wonders. c. 1920-1930. Require a large box. $1...
