World War 2 era ad shoe ad from a 1942 Ladies Home Journal. In good condition with only a corner crease this shoe ad shows 3 smartly dressed gals holding on to a pair of gloves with high heeled shoes on the edge of the ad. Each of the shoes has a name to them. Vitality Shoe Company. The ad measures 10 1/2 x 13 3/4 .

This is a bit of history. This brass souvenir tea caddy was manufactured by Lipton Tea for the 1925 British Empire Exhibition in London, England in 1925 and was the height of art deco style. The commemorative tea caddy or tea canister has the dedication on a band around the middle and the raised Empire Exhibition lion on the front and the Lipton logo on the base and measures 4.25 inches high by 4.75 inches in diameter. THE LIFE STORY OF THE LADY OF THE LIMBERLOST told by her daughter, THE LIFE AND LETTERS OF GENE STRATTON PORTER, is an interesting picture of a woman whose life was full to the brim. Incorporated is this book are many letters received by Gene by her readers. It was published in 1928 by Doubleday, Doran and has 369 pages. The cover is dark green with some wear on the corners. The edges of the pages on the bottom are stamped Camp Kohonka Wolfeboro, - N.H. (and also in the front of the book.)
