Very nice set of four off-white linen look placemats and napkins with with light sage/celery machine stitched edges. Placemats measure 17" x 11 1/2" and have two rows of machine chain stitch in metallic thread. Napkins are 11 1/4" square.
Set is in very good condition with no stains. The only mark is a faint '2.00' on one placemat hand written in off-white.... Click for details

This blue tea towel is a wonderful example of fine handwork. It is scalloped and finished by hand with a fine blanket stitch on both ends with machine-stitched hem on sides. Detailed cutwork of a flower and leaves, and fine embroidery on one end. Could also be used as a dresser scarf.

These tea towels are truly amazing examples several forms of handiwork - hand applique, drawn threadwork and fine embroidery.
Everything is done by hand except three side are hemmed by machine using very fine stitches. The fourth side was hemmed by hand using a tiny blanket stitch to bind the appliqued colored material to the background.

HERE IS ANOTHER LOVELY BIB APRON FROM THE forties or fifties like our mothers wore while baking, canning, etc. This is a very light weight summer fabric in ribbed white material with a bright orange bias tape edging to accent it. It is about 40" in length and I don't think is has ever been worn.

HERE IS ANOTHER lovely vintage apron designed and stitched by a homemaker of the past. The fabric is a looser weave, perhaps considered a damask, with different prints used to form the petals of the tulips that are placed around the bottom of the skirt and also to form the pocket. It is white and pale pastels mostly. SIZE is about 20" top to bottom and 16" wide at band. CONDITION is Very Good.

HERE IS A NEAT HANDMADE GREEN COTTON PRINT APRON WITH Interesting pattern. The center panel is U-shaped and swoops down to a slightly gathered outside section.
