Neat 1950s Sweater Clip. In those days, women and girls wore sweater sets -- a pull over sweater matched with a button-up cardigan. The cardigan was usually worn over the shoulders rather than on the arms, and the sweater guard, chain, was used to keep it from falling off the shoulders. This one is ornamented with faux pearls, and has two gold-tone clips. 21" overall length. This is a vintage necklace of 5 large oval black cabachon hand bezel set stones with a wheat chain of silver plate made in the 1940s. The stones, which are black glass each measure 1 inch long by .75 inch wide. The backs of each are are a silver plated oval with a concentric circle motif. The class is a flip over which is tight. The necklace is in excellent condition and very elegant. Shipping in the US by USPS first class insured.
