Amethyst mouthblown Art Glass Vase in a newer version of Paolo Venini's "Inciso" technique. Early pieces were more imprecise and completely by hand, plus the bases were usually polished. The master blower on this piece has elected to also incise the foot and the base, beginning at the center of the clipped pontil -- a striking effect; plus the incised engraving is more precise and pronounced.
