Very sparkly pin, with 22K gold electroplate and lots of rhinestones! Circa 1980, this piece was made in Wales, is marked A&S, and was sold through Shetland Silvercraft, a store in the Shetland Islands of Scotland. Up for bid is a prototypical 1980s sterling pin with matching pendant necklace, signed GF. The pin is 1 5/8" across, and consists of a silver triangle, two gold tone bars and a cabochon black stone. The pin has a safety pin clasp and is marked "STERLING / GF", as shown. The matching pendant is 1 inch across, is marked "STERLING" behind the loop, and hangs from a flat sterling 15 inch chain. Up for bid is wild studio modernist silver brooch with cabochon stone, signed JT or GT. The brooch is 2 1/8" tall by 1 inch across. It is made in two layers fused together, with the top layer cut out in a pattern. There is a green cabochon stone at the top and applied silver balls at the base. Thought the front appears to be silver, the back has a yellowish cast, and I am not sure of the metal content. It has a standard safety pin clasp. It is marked "GT" or "JT" and "77" as shown.... For sale is a fine pair of studio sterling earrings, signed KANDA and dated 1990. The earrings are trapezoidal, roughly 1 3/8" wide. The tops are slightly domed and textured. In the centers are mounted raw chunks of amethyst crystals. One earring is marked "KANDA", ".925" and "(c) 1990". There is a relatively famous jeweler by this name, still active but working in a mosaic technique. This may be an early product of hers, but I do not know for certain... Click for details

Up for bid is fine Memphis design for Acme enamel metal pin by Peter Shire. The pin is 2 3/8" wide by 2 3/16" tall, and is decorated in multi-colored enamels as shown. The design is called "LAUREL". It is marked on the back [SHIRE / FOR / A&M]. This pin was part of a line of jewelry produced in the 1980s by ACME, featuring original designs by members of the Memphis group. A pretty costume jewelry stick pin. Gold tone with an antique patina on the filligree part. Set in a cameo fashion. A creme color rose set in the brown stone. Looked like a real miniature rose inside the stone. Length is 2 3/4" over all. Decorative part measures 1 x 1 1/4". Pristine condition.

This lovely Swoboda pin has a carved jade fish as the central design. I believe it is a coy or a beta. Swobota is a California jewelry manufactured from the 50s. They were known for their use of semi precious stones and fine gold plated cast settings. It was the "jewelry of the stars". Gold plated setting with 3 cultured pearls. Measures only 1 3/4" long. Marked Swoboda. Nice tight pin back with safety catch An unusually lovely pin.Email for more photos.
