THIS VICTORIAN METAL FOLDING CUP FEATURES A FANCY DESIGN ON THE COVER, as well as openings in the side of cover to make it easier to remove before raising the folded up. It is shiny metal, with a patent date of Feb, 1897. SIZE is 2 1/2" diameter by 7/8" high when folded with lid in place. Unfolded cup is 2 3/4" tall. CONDITION is Fairly good with slight wear to part of the fancy design on lid as well as on the rings that slide against each other when folding and unfolding.

Provenance: Hester and Paul Foster, who purportedly traveled from New York in mid 19th century to Michigan. The back is painted with their initials "HF" and "PF".
