This is a Yokut round basket, California - late 19th to early 20th century. It is made of coiled willow and sedge root. The hourglass design is interspersed with stacked diamonds made of redbud and outlined in black brackenfern. There is a band of diamonds made of redbud and brackenfern at the top edge. Dimensions: 7 3/8" x 2 1/2" high. Condition: Good. 1 3/4" of winding is missing from top of rim, a few small areas of wrapping are also missing. Otherwise, this is a beautiful basket in Good Cond... This is a Yokut cooking basket with bottleneck, California - late 19th to early 20th century. It is made of round coiled willow and sedge root with eight pointed stars in contrasting black of brackenfern. Dimensions: 4 7/8" x 4 5/8" x 2 1/2" high with a 1/2" neck. Condition: Very Good. Note: This tightly woven basket was filled with acorn mush and water to which very hot stones, heated over campfires, were added to cook it.

This basket is a western Yokut round basket, California - late 19th to early 20th century. It is made of coiled willow and sedge root. It has 3 rows of staggered black diamonds made of brakenfern forming a rattlesnake pattern. At opposite sides of the basket, interspersing the rattlesnake pattern, are two vertical bands of stacked diamonds with crosses in the interior of each. They are also made of brakenfern. Dimensions: 7 1/8" x 2 5/8" high. Condition: Very Good.

Original vintage ROY ROGERS paint-by-number pictures. One picture shows Roy Rogers with Trigger, his beloved horse. Bullet, his German Sheppard, shares the other picture. The painter of these pictures did a wonderful job. I would have loved to be able to paint one of these "old" paint-by-number pictures as well. All I ever did was make a mess!!
