This is a neat McCoy cookie jar – a large white rooster! He’s in wonderful condition with minor color wear on his comb and he has a couple production McFlaws on front (see photo). The paint is cold paint and it easily “slips” if immersed in water. There are two brush “hairs” in the red color indicating paint “touch-up” but I’m not certain because I had one of these jars several years ago and it also had a brush “hair” in the red color! This ceramic Hen On A Nest soup Tureen is unmarked. I believe it is a recent vintage probably from the 1970's. It measures 8.5" tall and is 11.75" wide. It is considered to be in excellent shape with no chips or cracks. There is also a ladle included that is also in excellent shape. A fun and whimsical piece and great for that holiday table setting.

This is a grand old hen! Hand painted and made in Italy. Very heavy ceramic and measures 11 1/4" tall and is about 12 1/2" long. She is free from cracks and chips. She does have some paint chips in a few spots though that have been lightly touched up, but they are not chips into the ceramic, just the paint. She is very sunny and bright with her orange yellow and green coloring on the white background. She will be the bright spot in your kitchen!
