This is a really pretty hand crafted pottery plate with what looks like free form hand applied jelly fish and scored and handpainted seaweed designs. The interior surface is unglaze and the rim and back is art glazed with a brown to black tone. It measures 7 and 7/8 inches in diameter and is in excellent clean condition, no chips and no cracks. It is unmarked but very well done.

This is a wonderful art pottery piece by Cally Williams of El Paso, Texas. It is signed by the artist. It is free form with swirls and textures and a beautiful green semi-opague glaze. It measures 5.25 by 3.5 inches and is in excellent condition, no chips and no cracks. This is a very uncommon piece of handmade pottery and would be great for the pottery collector.

"Counting Coup" by Donald J. Pollard, a Fine Pewter Metal Sculture. Don Polland, 1932-2003, was a pioneer, like the many characters he created and portrayed in his sculptures. In the late fifties he broke with tradition by creating his western themed sculptures in miniature and keeping most under 8" high. In 1973 Polland joined up with Chilmark. We are not sure who this beautiful horse is, or which race he ran. He was #3, and it also shows a painting of the jockey on the horse in the lower left portion of the painting. Signed by the artist, Davidson and dated '93. On the back some one had written "Sea Hero? 1993 Kentucky Derby winner". It looks ike they weren't sure either. lol. Fascinating pair of handmade "paintings" from natural, organic materials -- ferns, leaves, bark, grasses. Calose examination finds them absolutely charming. Additionally, there appears to be no coloring agents added; they are are their natural, dried colors. Everything about these is handmade, including the frames.
