Two 9 x 12 "un-framed" oil paintings. Oil on canvas, both fall scenes. Beautifully done. Framed they would make a colorful addition to any wall/collection. Written on bottom of both says "SAM". I have had them in my closet for a long, long time - waiting to frame and hang them. Now I'm forced to "downsize" and have to get rid of many of my treasures. Vintage, Fashion Cover Page and insert from May 4, 1895 Harpers Bazar Magazine; popular late 19th Century newspaper/magazine. Both in period frames. Slight water damage to bottoms of both prints. Damage to frame edges due to age. The back of the frame (part holding the print in) is made of a thin wood - not cardboard like used now. Damage would be easy to repair but adds "character" as is. This sweet little picture frame is bordered on four sides by enamel with pink roses. It is a 4 X 3 frame and has two original stickers. One sticker is the Sanger Bros. store label and the other is the one that states it is trimmed in 24 Karat gold. It has a maroon red velvet backing and a bowtie on top. This item is truly a work of art. It is a chinese dragon made entirely out of metal. Its body is primarily crafted from a bicycle chain, with various pieces of metal making up the rest. This interesting statue is metal that has been cut by laser technique. It is then coated with a multi-colored dip which feels like plastic. It is not painted. It is mounted on a piece of flagstone, 3-1/4" x 2-1/4". It is 6" tall with the base. It has felt pads on the bottom. The label is still attached. It has a few bump marks on the flagstone, but that can be taken off as the surface is rough. wt. is 12 oz.

"Dans la Vallee" and Vieille Auberge" two French scenes by Rene' Raffray. These two works bear the identification mark of "SZL" (for Sydney Z. Lucas Studio) within a triangle. Both are signed "Raffray" in pencil. Also printed at the top, "Copyright 1936 Camilla Lucas, NY, USA." Both prints have been identified as "aquatint" and appraised by an art expert.
