Very nice little oil painting of a covered wagon on the plains, heading toward the mountains. The yoke and horns of the oxen may be seen in the front, while a water jug hangs from the back; and small blue and white wild flowers dot the landscape; some craquelure. Technique of deliberately exposed artist board throughout the painting. Unsigned. Contemporary frame. 3.75" x 5", framed to 5.75" x 6.75" x .75". Excellent condition. c. 1940-1950. $8 US Shipping.
