WOW! This is a fabulous victorian chocolate candy box in the Art Deco fashion. It is made from paper mache that has been painted gold and has a gold gilt brass metal border and base and is footed. This sugar bowl is marked with the "Rising Sun" Nippon mark that dates it between 1890 - 1921. It is hand painted with pink floral, leaves and dots of gold beading. It measures 3" tall w/lid and 5"across including handles. This sugar bowl is in good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. This snack tray/sandwich plate was designed by Reuben Haley and produced by the Consolidated Glass Company in the late 1920's. The pattern is called 'Five fruits' and is one of Consolidated's scarce tableware lines. The tray is approximately 8 inches long and has a ring to hold the sundae dish. The color is green ceramic. It was made to look like glass found in Catalonia Spain at the archaeological sites, and had bubbles and raised rings blown into the glass. This is the 1171 violet vase in honey. (This color is a yellow ceramic wash applied over crystal glass.) The vase is approximately 3 3/4 inches high and in excellent condition. This 4-fluted vase was made by The Rookwood Pottery Company. The Company was operational from 1879-1967. This piece was made in 1950, as indicated by the "L" under the Rookwood mark on the base.
