For sale is a fine antique French opaline glass scent bottle. The bottle stands about 9 inches tall with the stopper and is 3 1/2 inches wide. The body is opaque, with a satin surface. The highlights and rims are gilded as shown. The pontil is smoothed but not polished. The tip of the stopper is marked "16" and the base is marked "17", significance unknown.

This is a very unusual art glass dish made with yellow flashing and what looks like hand painted platinum gilding. It has the yellow on the outside of the clear glass and the gilding on the inside of the bowl, so it gives it a rich quality look. This ashtray is my one and only piece of Phoenix Glass - and what a wonderful item it is! This is the #263 Phlox pattern ashtray in the Sculptured Crystal treatment. (crystal glass with a blue ceramic wash applied.) The ashtray is the 5 1/2 inch size - the larger and much harder to find of the two sizes that were made in this pattern. Produced in 1938, it's a rare find indeed! Excellent condition.
