Exquisite faceted green marcasite makes up the body of this antique Russian lined trinket box. Each piece is hand laid around the oval shape box and accented with a rope like brass edging. Inside and under glass is a hand-painted scene of a Monastery on Nero Lake. There has been discoloration or oxidation around the edges of the painting. Slight abrasions on the lid and bottom from years of polishing.

Extremely fine workmanship, this object is probably of German derivation and from the late Victorian/Art Nouveau period. It is approximately 4" long x 3" high and shows a beautifully detailed swan with gracefully bent neck and subtle coloration done in bisque with applied beading. Pictures will be added soon. This is a wonderful victorian handpainted water pitcher that was made in England, probably in Staffordshire, around 1870-1890. It measures about 8 inches tall. It does not have a maker's mark. It features a dark chocolate, almost black matte paint & handpainted enamel flowers, It has a wonderful pewter lid with a ceramic thumb knob. ON SALE!!! This is a great art nouveau design serving spoon that measures 8 inches long. I got it in England but it bears the marks of early Gorham silver company, US of the G, anchor & backwards lion for sterling. The pattern is called Louis XIV and dates to 1870-1890. It has a very decorative and ornate triangular finial with the script monogram of M.McG. The bowl has some light denting but considering it's over 150 years old it is in very good condition.
