This very nice mother-of-pearl box is vintage and measures 4 1/2" square and 2 1/4" high. The lacquer is in great condtion with only light wear marks on the bottom. No chips, cracks or other damage. The Mother-of-Pearl has some minor damage to the peacock and flower. Other than that, it is a beautifully done piece for dresser or living room. Actual 1901 paper ad for Packer's Tar Soap and 1939 Packers Tar soap tin with some old soap still in it. As you can see rust on the tin. The top reads pure as The Pines , shampooing bath, toilet nursery. The tin measures 2 3/4 x 3 1/2 inches. Here is a hand carved mahogany box from Honduras. Lined with red velvet, and lockable, it would make a wonderful jewelry box. The key has been taped inside the lid of the box as shown in the pictures. The box measures 12" X 7" X 4 1/4", with carvings of Aztec figures on the top and sides. The box is hand-marked "Hecho en Honduras, C.A." (Made in Honduras, Central America) on the bottom.
