This hard to find 1960's creamer belongs to the pattern Reveille sporting a Pennyslvanie Dutch type rooster with handpainted brown trim. It stands at 4 1/4" high at the 1960's open handle. This piece is unmarked. Condition is excellent except for a very, very tight crack that only show in the right light and you know it's there. Colors are distinctive and undamaged. This Ball jug or pitcher is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or crazing. The glaze is shiny with no discernable wear. It measures approximately 9.5" from base to the top of the handle and 7.5" in diameter. It weighs 3lbs 12 oz.
The back stamp with the Indian sitting at an outside oven and the words Shenango China, New Castle, Pa, U.S.A. was used in the late 1920s to late 1940s. Incaware referred to the tan body which was a popular restaurant china feature in that time period.
