This is a fabulous 5 piece set that came from the famous Staffordshire England area known as Stoke-on-Trent. It was produced in the town of Hanley by S. Hancock & Sons that was in business from 1851 to 1937. This set was introduced between 1923 and 1937 during their Corona Ware period. The pattern is Verlaine. Made by the Crown Staffordshire Co. of Fenton, England circa 1930's, this Teacup and Saucer has some minor wear on the Gold trim which is quite normal for it's age of 70+ years. The overall condition is considered to be really nice with NO chips or cracks. The cup is 4 1/8" wide including the handle and is 2 3/8" tall with the saucer being 5.5" wide. A very nice display set for your collection.
