This is a pretty covered vegetable, soup, or casserole tureen marked Royal Schwarzburg Germany South Seas. It is porcelain or fine bone china in bright white with heavy gold gilded accents on the handles. It has coral, burgundy, and peach colored floral sprays on the sides and the lid. It measures 4.25 inches high and 9 and 7/8 inches handle to handle. It has a few manufacturers defects in the glaze, but no chips, no cracks, and no crazing that I can see. This is a really nice Laurel Oak Tea Pot with platinum trim made by Franconia. The Tea Pot is signed FRANCONIA K & A Krautheim SELB BAVARIA GERMANY LAUREL-OAK. It is in really good condition with no chips or cracks. There is a 1/16 inch mark on the platinum at the top of the teapot. It looks like a small spot in the platinum. Goebel Friar Monk creamer stands just under 4" tall and sugar jar 4-1/2" tall. Stamped on creamer is Germany S141/0 and bee marking; on sugar jar Germany Z37 and bee. Excellent condition. Creamer has one spot by spout that isn't chipped but paint is chipped off (see picture). Photos of markings are glary in photos, but markings are truly clear on the bottom.

Such a cute Goebel Friar Tuck lidded sugar bowl. This little Monk will definitely makes you smile. In the early 50's the company introduced the Friar Tuck line and then it was discontinued in 1988. Lovely chantilly floral gold pattern with embossed edge scrolling. Not sure if this is the salad plate or the bread and butter plate, maybe they consider it a dessert plate. It measures 7" in diameter. Pristine condition and gold is brilliant, with no surface scratches. Made by House of Dresden in Western Germany. This is a discontinued pattern. This is a beautiful plate that is marked Hand Painted Prussia and what looks like the letters G. and E. but I can't make them out for sure. This lovely plate has purple violet transfers and heavy 22KT gold gilding. It measures 8.5 inches across. It one small surface chip to one corner, but a touch of gold paint would hide it pretty well. Other than that no crazing and just a small amount of wear to the gilding. Not much. This is a very ornate piece. I do no know the age, it is an auction piece. ... Click for details
