Offering this Illinois pocket watch. Open dial with markings inside the rear cover that list it as 10K gold filled 20 year warranty. Movement reads "17 Jewels Illinois Springfield Watch Co. Adjusted 3460742". That serial number dates the watch to 1919. Case is excellent not showing any worn spots. Strong running and keeping accurate time. This is an 1888 Elgin Pocket watch as determined by the serial number 3430457. Crystal is free from any marks or scratches. Dial is clean but does have 2 very minor hairlines at approx. 6 and 7 o'clock on the dial. Back plate has a very nice train design and is marked on the inside "DEFIANCE 0953502". Case in excellent condition. This is a complete watch but non working condition. Being offered as is. Measures 44mm across. See all my very many great listings for your consideration.

This "book style" locket fob features black glass (or onyx) on one side and on the other what once might have been a silver horse head in a matrix of mother of pearl. The locket spins within the frame to open or change sides. The side with the pearl is well worn and in addition to the wear on the horse head is worn through to the brass in a couple of spots on the frame. It measures 1 1/2" long and 3/4" wide. This lovely early fob probably dates from the 1850's.

This heavy link chain measures 13 3/4" from the end to the locket fob. Each link is marked with the English sterling lion passant. The T-bar is marked with the initials H?WC , the lion passant and another mark which might be a Gothic P. The locket is book style and has a horsehead surrounded by a horseshoe and backed by a polo mallet and is marked on the obverse with virtually unreadable makers initials.
