The pocketwatch has a 14kt gold filled 20 year half hunter case and has engine turned engraving on the back as well as hand engraving on the edges of the case. This is an 1888 Elgin Pocket watch as determined by the serial number 3430457. Crystal is free from any marks or scratches. Dial is clean but does have 2 very minor hairlines at approx. 6 and 7 o'clock on the dial. Back plate has a very nice train design and is marked on the inside "DEFIANCE 0953502". Featured for your enjoyment is this wonderfully detailed pendent watch. It is a Swiss made by Customtime, one jewel. It is in a lovely gold tone embossed case with a metal embossed face.
