To begin a little history on the Bucherer watch. Company started in 1888. Maker of fine jewelry and watches and operates in Lucerne Switzerland. This watch is 17 jewel and gold filled. All original including the crown with the letter "B". This watch dates back to the late 1940's or 50's. Dial is clean and reads "Bucherer 17 Jewels Swiss" and also the Bucherer logo. Very attractive wristwatch made by Alfex Ltd. of Switzerland. It is manual wind 17 jewel Swiss movement. The dial is unique in that the second hand rotates around giving the allusion that there isn't any connection to the center. Dial reads "Alfex 17 Jewels Swiss Made" There are 24 clear crystals on the dial. I am assuming they are rhinestones even though Alfex does make watches with diamonds.
