This watch is a Harman Watch Co. 17 jewel ladies wrist watch in silver toned metal. All original including the band. This watch dates back to the late 1940's. Harman started making watches from N.Y. in 1936. Dial is clean and reads "Harmon Swiss". Crystal is clear free from any scratches and original glass. Band is the braided black rope type. To begin a little history on the Bucherer watch. Company started in 1888. Maker of fine jewelry and watches and operates in Lucerne Switzerland. This watch is 17 jewel and gold filled. Very attractive wristwatch made by Alfex Ltd. of Switzerland. It is manual wind 17 jewel Swiss movement. The dial is unique in that the second hand rotates around giving the allusion that there isn't any connection to the center. This is a real beauty. Everything points to it being Russian as the dial reads 17 Jewel but the word jewel is in Russian. There are 5 porcelain pieces on the band and comprising the watch.
