Wish I had a dozen of these!!! This is an absolutely beautiful antique leaded crystal faceted ball ended or dumbell knife rest with a fluted bar. It is quite old, dating to around 1850-1870. This knife rest has been hand and not machine faceted. The rest measures 4.5 inches long with 1.5 in diameter faceted ball ends. The both turn green under the black light, the have scratches of ware on the on the ground and polished bases. Another wonderful estate item. This is a beautiful piece of the bohemian crystal in the ruby red color. Pretty cut class floral pattern on the decanter and matching tumbler.Over all height is 8 1/4" when tumbler is inverted over the decanter. Glass is a generous size, 4" tall, and decanter is almost 8". They have ground glass rims on the bottoms. Color is deep and rich. No fading, scratches or flaws that I can see.More photos upon request.
