Rockwell Kent designed "Moby Dick" pattern plate produced by Vernon Kilns on their "Ultra" shape and framed with a Farber Brothers chrome frame. Hand tinted colors of high gloss green, pink, yellow, tan, brown on a blue and white background. The plate itself measures about 7 1/4" wide, the metal tray is 13 1/2". Here is a luncheon plate from Metlox/Vernon Kilns/Poppy Trail in the ORGANDIE pattern. It features a yellow and brown plaid and was produced from 1937-58. 9 5/8" across,the next size under the dinner plate. it's in nice used condition, no chips or cracks, with normal light wear.
