Another rare item from Vernon Kilns, a Duke University blue transferware sugar with lid and creamer in perfect condition. On the front of both pieces is written "DUKE UNIVERSITY" with images (left to right) of the Medical Center, Duke Chapel, and Woman's Coll. Auditorium. The back features the Engineering School, Stadium, and Library. Creamer measures 3" high x 5.5" widest, sugar with lid 4.5" high x 3.5".

A Rare colossal cup and saucer by Vernon Kilns (Vernonware) in the "Homespun" plaid pattern. A 1953 Vernon price list stated that this was ideal as a collector's item, or for display, salad, punch, fruit, popcorn, planting, and flower arranging. This item was also shown in a Vernon company brochure as an ice bucket. In November 1953, p.143 of Family Circle an article gives a recipe for Turkey Soup Supper in a Vernon Kilns Colossal Cup. Very Rare and unusual Vernon Kilns souvenir dish in the shape of Lake Tahoe. On the dish it notes, "Deepest Spot is 1654 Feet" Prose on the backside. In excellent condition with a beautiful glaze, it measures 9 1/2" high, 5" wide, and 7/8" deep.
