This recipe box was manufactured by Fosta Products in the 1950's. It is red hard plastic with a large mammy or Aunt Jemima face on the front, and the word "recipes" written on the top in black block letters. It measures 3.5" high, 5.25" long and 3" wide. It is completely FULL of recipes (probably from the same era). It is in very good condition. There top of the lid is slightly faded in color, and the letters "p" and "e" (in recipe) are partly worn. They are yellow hard plastic, with figural handles representing Aunt Jemima & Uncle Mose. This is a complete set of 6 hard plastic Aunt Jemima Spice Containers. They were manufactured by the F&F Mold & Die Company and were issued as a premium by Quaker Oats in the 1940's. They all have black skin tone with white aprons and kerchiefs painted on a red plastic base. Boy Scout, BSA, handmade, Breech Cloth??? Not sure, but I also don’t feel they are finished. The one with what appears to be a peace pipe hand-stitched onto it measures appx. 18 ½” tall by 13 ½” wide. The plain one measures appx 17 ¼ tall by 13 ¾” wide. They both have a 1” pocket loop for some type of belt all the way across the top. Do not appear to have ever been used. . If you need more detailed, or further info please advise me. I believe this is a pre 1980 Seminole Doll. It has the simple decorations which is common for that period. These dolls are still made and sold at the Seminole stores in South Florida but are now made with more elaborate trimmings. It also has the old style beads.
