Songs Of The South - 17 Favorite Negro Spirituals
Music and Musical Instruments: Sheet Music
Moments In Time
Music317 $15.00
This is a very interesting song book titled “Songs Of The South – Words and Music of 17 Favorite Negro Spirituals.” The Commission On Interracial Cooperation, Inc. of Atlanta, Georgia published the book. There is no copyright date in the book, however, I am guessing that it is from the 1930’s to 1940’s. The front inside cover has a narrative titled “The Negro Spiritual” by Professor Frederick Hall, Director of Music, Dillard University of New Orleans.

Leanin' On De Lawd by William Reddick - Sheet Music
Music and Musical Instruments: Sheet Music
Moments In Time
Music309 $12.00
This is vintage sheet music. The cover shows that there are Two Negro Spirituals – “Leanin’ On De Lawd” and “Standin’ In De Need O’Prayer” – both arranged by William Reddick. These songs had been sung by Oscar Seagle. Even though the cover shows there are two songs, it appears that only the first, “Leanin’ On De Lawd” is inside, unless the two are some how incorporated. I do not read music, so I cannot tell. The music is complete and see no evidence that any pages are missing.

BLACK AMERICANA -- PAIR OF KITCHEN TOWELS
Textiles
Lin's Antiques and Collectibles
M2107 $90.00
I purchased these two kitchen towels sometime ago at the same estate sale where I purchased the “risqué” towel set that we recently sold! Like those towels, these had never been used and had faint storage lines and a musty smell – I have laundered, lightly starched, and ironed them and they turned out great with vivid colors! These towels are not the “new” issues that are surfacing – I have seen those and they are made of very lightweight material. The towels in this listing have a heavy thread ... Click for details
