Intricately woven wicker rattan tray with brass handles. An antique Japanese silk painting of flowers with embroidered birds is well protected under glass. The rattan has a wonderful rich patina that can only be acquired with age. Approximately 19" including handles, without handles 17.5" long x 12" x 4.5" high. This is such a beautiful piece and unusual piece that I am thinking about keeping it (but I have a teething puppy) or raising the price to $125.

This sword stand was made by a good friend of mine who is half carpenter and half artist. The listed price is for this particular sword stand. Hand crafted of exotic wood, this stand displays a heavy Japanese influence with a frame highly suggestive of Shinto shrine arches and a hinomaru center. This stand was crafted to hold three swords and has a rear fixture for wall mount as well as a folding easel stand for table top display. We are proud to offer this much sought reference book. W.M. Hawley's 1981 Japanese Swordsmiths Revised is a classic in the industry and an extremely important source of information on tens of thousands of samurai sword makers. Condition is superb with smooth binding and crisp, clean and undamaged pages. There is one depression on the upper spine that is exaggerated in the photo below. I find no other condition issues.

Antique Samurai Menpo w Ringed Skirt

Interesting menpo. Below is an old ring mail skirt laced on. It looks like this is the correct configuration and intended use but the skirt has been laced on with a modern shoelace. Apparently a quick repair by previous owner, this is reflected in the price. Overall reasonably solid condition. The gold wire border on the skirt is frayed from age and there menpo itself has a crack on one side (Please see photos attached). This is a vintage 1959 lacquer, or lacquerware base or stand marked, Bembo Okinawa and N.A.B. CHAPEL GUILD 1959. It is shaped like a taper candle holder, but was probably a stand or base for something. It is a very dark high shine brown or chocolate colored lacquer, and gold gilt lettering. It is in very good condition, one little rub to the underside of the base, and top edge of the rim, but not very noticeable. It measures 2.25 inches high, and 3.5 inches across the base.

This is a beautiful porcelain fine china bottle with Asian letters, enameled flowers, a rickshaw, heavy gold gilding. It does have Asian letters under the glaze on the bottom. I do not know if it is Japanese or Chinese, or what. It is an auction item. It measures 5.5 inches tall, and 2.5 inches in diameter. It is in great condition, no chips, no cracks, and very little, if any signs of wear.

Anchor Hocking?? Probably, but not 100% positive!! Pitcher with ice lip, plus 8 tumblers. Beautiful red, white, and black oriental scene on each item, depicting a man pulling a lady in a rickshaw, with a pagoda and trees in the background. The pitcher also has a man poling a gondola along as well. The graphics are sharp, clear, and bright on all 9 pieces. This is a really beautiful set of rice or serving bowls from Kafuh Japan in a pretty pastel seafoam green with pretty white and green floral sprays. It has textured art glazes that give depth. Each is 1 and 5/8 inches high and 4.25 inches in diameter. They are all in excellent condition and in the original box. I do know know the age, they are an auction item. The box is marked Kafuh Japan. The label inside the box says Kafuh Blue Moon.
