It's big!...2 7/8 by 3 1/2 inches. This vintage signed VENDOME pin is Asian-inspired and very impressive. The goldtone openwork frame holds a carved-through piece of faux jade that's actually genuine Bakelite. The pin on the back was either added, repaired or manufactured with silver solder but in any case, the pin is secure with a safety-catch closure. Nice snuff jar with an all over carved oriental design. Appears to be ivory but I'm thinking its not, as the spoon which is attatched to the lid is plastic. Brass embellishments and has either chinese or japanese writing on the bottom of the jar. Measures 2 3/4" tall. It is in excellent condition but I am clueless of the age.
