The Patriarch by Stephen Herrero Indian Chief Sculpture

This is a wonderful art sculpture of and Native American Chief by artist Stephen Herrero titled "Patriarch". It is signed and dated, the date looks like 19 something. I can't make it all out. It still has the original sticker on the back that says Patriarch #3001 USA. These discontinued pieces are becoming very rare. Mill Creek Studios burned down, so these are no longer available. This is a wonderful Indian chief in full feather head dress. It is lovely tones of brown, rust, tan, and turquoise.... Click for details

Unfortunately I know nothing about this neat frog figural either. Made of black pottery and appears to be entirely hand sculpted. I'm guessing this is a planter because it has a hole in the bottom. Looks like Indian pottery of the southwest Native American variety, but there are no markings on this piece either. Measures 5 1/2" tall by 7" long. No chips cracks or damages of any kind. Another piece that is similar came with this one, and is listed seperately.

This is a really wonderful piece of blackware hand thrown pottery probably made by a Native American potter. It looks very much like Bigmeat Cherokee, but I can't make out the mark on the bottom. It is a nappy style holder with open cut work on the bowl. The handle, upper edge and rim have a wonderful hand rubbed patina to them. It measures 2 and 7/8 inches tall and 5 inches wide at the widest point. The only damage is a small surface chip on the side of the rim and a small flake off the patina ... Click for details
