This wonderful figurine was manufactured by M.I. Hummel. Today, t is officially called "Whitsuntide", but has also been referred to as "Christmas" and as "Happy New Year". It depicts children in a clock tower playing trumpets, while an angel looks on from below. Whitsuntide was originally modeled in 1946 by master sculptor Arthur Moeller. This is the rare early version, with TMK 1 (the crown mark) which dates its production somewhere between 1946 to 1949. It is incised with mold number 163. ... Click for details

This is the first edition 1971 Hummel Christmas plate. The 1971 Hummel Plate was issued in commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of W. Goebel Porzellanfarik. The plate is called "Heavenly Angel" and depicts an angel holding a candle. There is a shooting star on one side of the angel, and 2 spruce trees on the other. There are 4 of these cute little porcelain figurines by Goebel. All in pristine condition measuring 3.75 inches tall in beautiful red, white and blue coloring.
