Hand painted Folk Art sewing box with one drawer. The duck scissors that form the duck's beak is removable. Made from available/recycled materials as evidenced by the bottom of the drawer which came from a tobacco box. Measures 9.5" long, 5.5" wide, 8.5" high including scissors.

Awesome Zimbabwe Africa Carving was presented to the missionary for a gift before she left. The missionary had spent a lot of time with this particular tribe, and this was a going away present of sorts and a token of their mutual friendships. I just wish she had passed on the name of the tribe. We do know it is from Zimbabwe. Signed by the artist P. Mwila 1999. Wonderful condition with no damages. There are 6 African native figures and a dog in a circle under the hut. I think it is an awesome... Click for details

A rare and unusual item from the Belgian Congo 1900-1920's era. Provenence states this was given in 1935 to the owner from a tenant who had lived in the Belgian Congo from 1900-1920. Entirely hand carved on an elephant tusk. Tribal African native dancers, and palm trees are carved around the entire piece.
