This vintage shelf is very substantial, being constructed of a wooden base and laced with what appears to be two types of wicker. I have always loved this unit because, by having a wooden base to the shelves, every item displayed was very stable and not likely to tip over. It was not made to hang on a wall, although it is possible to make it a wall hanging unit. One would need to be careful when trying to hang the shelf because it is an older style and quite heavy. I always thought this was a soda fountain stool. There is a bit of paint spilled in spots on the seat and a few drops on the legs. It probably could be cleaned off, or if one wished, it could be repainted. I originally bought it for a plant stand, but none of my plants ever lived long enough to display them, so just used it for a stool. This is a really nice old wooden humidor, 28" tall, 15 1/2" in diameter, footed and copper lined. Latch closure. Mahogany wood. Picture #2 shows the interior copper lining of the humidor. The lining is guaranteed not broken or craked, it is a discoloration of the copper. 1920's.
