This is a Fostoria black Egyptian Tut style vase made in Moundsville, West Virginia in the 1920s. It measures 8 inches tall and is totally opaque black glass even though some call it amethyst, it is solid black. This is a very heavy thick piece and is in excellent condition, no chips, no cracks and no scratches.
