The Lafayette pattern is one of Fostoria Glass Company's earlier dinnerware shapes, and was used as the blank for many of their etchings. Offered here is the 7 1/4 inch salad or dessert plate in the rare Wisteria color. This color was made in the early 1930's and is dichroic as it reacts to the light - changes from amethyst in daylight to a blue, almost tanzanite color, in florescent light. Wistar AKA Betsy Ross in the milk glass from the 50’s. It has a vertical line pattern with leaves
within these lines. Just under that is a row of stars. It is in excellent condition and stands 2” tall
