Petalware was made by The Macbeth Evans Glass Co. This plate may have been decorated at the factory, but we don't know for sure. We have seen other plates like this at glass shows. It is in excellent condition! It appears as though it is silk screened.
Dogwood green footed cake plate made by MacBeth-Evans Glass Co.; 1929-1932. It is 13" in diameter and has a solid ring of glass on the bottom for its foot. It has some minor knife marks but otherwise the condition is perfect.
Stippled Rose Band, or "S" pattern was produced by MacBeth Evans from 1930 to 1936. The glass is wonderfully thin, yet extremely durable. This is a Cake Plate in the "Chinex" classic pattern made by The MacBeth-Evans Division of the The Corning Glass works from the late 1930's - 1940's. Very minor wear in the center. No chips or cracks. Marked Made in USA on the back. The plate is 12" in diameter.
