UPDATE: There is a popular site that would have us all believe that this is a reproduction piece. However, they cannot say what it is a reproduction of. We have never seen a vintage p... Click for details

Vintage Lady Head Vase
Head Vases
Looking Back Antiques
4034 $54.50
This lovely lady is the 4.5" model, which appears to be made from the Rubens #495 mold. This particular piece is unmarked, but we have one of Rubens ladies in another color. Some of the Rubens vases were ink-stamped, others have the logo and number cast into the bottom. There appears to be some evidence that this mold was sold or otherwise used to make pieces sold by other importers who preferred to use their own foil label. These pieces were unmarked. There is a popular website who would ha... Click for details

This is a wonderful example of Napco's head vases. She is in excellent shape with no chips, cracks or crazing. It appears her earrings may have been replaced at some point because they look newer than her necklace. Her necklace is definitely original as many of them have lost their original luster, which adds to her allure. She is marked "C3343A, NAPCO, 1958" and stands 4.5" tall.
