Interesting and authentic 1960s "hippie" necklace, made of natural shell pieces and strung on cotton string. Probably the most important and outstanding part of this necklace is the three green beads. They are glass, probably old, and Italian in origin. Within the opaque green glass is included teeny tiny millefiori cane bits, sometimes called mosaic glass. The beads each measure a little less than 3/8" long, and the overall necklace with gold toned chain is 14-1/2". Darkening of the fittings at the ends of the tube beads; otherwise excellent condition. Very special, with the look of being very old (possibly antique), small pendant necklace with handpainted flowers on a tiny oval of porcelain or glass.
