This is a wonderful pin, depicting a mother Ostrich and her young, in and out of the eggs. It was probably given as a souvenir pin on an African safari. It measures 1 1/4 in. X 1 3/8 in. This old 1930's pin is marked MADE IN AUSTRIA. It's really a knockout...made with unfoiled olive green crystals and black rhinestones...all prong set. I can't find a makers mark. The large center stone is probably plastic/lucite and the accent black stones are glass. I am assuming the seed pearls are fake. It is approximately 1 3/4 inches. This big vintage Juiliana style brooch really piles it on!...there are 5 tiers of prong-set square stones set in a gold-tone diamond shape. Glass stone colors are pink, white, blue, green...topped off with a large pink rhinestone. Pin measures 3 inches across, tip to tip. The back of the pin is almost as interesting as the front...you can see how well-constructed this is. There's no maker's mark on it which is typical for Juliana style jewelry. This old, original pin is from the 1930's and features lots of red glass beads dangling in brass flower caps...very much like Czech pieces I've had. Here's a magnificent pin marked ORIGINAL BY ROBERT. It's a big owl with a hand-painted black and white enameled head and a huge black stone jelly belly. The bezel is gold-plated. Featured for your enjoyment is a stunning old brooch. This is shaped like a star fish. It is then covered in blue, white, green, red and amber stones.
