Unusual Hand Thrown Canterbury Pottery Open Salt

This is a really cool piece of wheel hand thrown pottery by Canterbury Pottery of England. It is designed to sit on it's side so you can easily reach in to get the loose salt. It is hand thrown by one of their master potters and has gorgeous brown white and tan art glazes and salt printed on the top side. It measures 3.5 inches tall and 3 inches across the rim. It is signed and in excellent condition, no chips and no cracks.

Aren’t these little fellows cute? They are a pair of vintage anthropomorphic salt and pepper shakers and look to be either Eggplants or possibly Plums. They have dark purple heads with really big eyes and sit with their little arms crossed in front of them. They wear brown pants, green shirts, and have ruffled collars rimmed in gold. You will fall in love with these delicate hand painted salt and pepper shakers.Red bottom stamp says Made in Japan.Painted with an upper border of blue morning glory flowers and gold trim. Nice large holes. Shakers measure 2 1/2" tall and are in excellent condition. Stoppers are here, but one is up inside one of the shakers.

As promised here are The nice pair of Black Sellers style salt and pepper shakers. They match the Sugar Jar that I put on yesterday.
They make a very nice set. These are a sprayed on Black with clear bottoms just as the jar. The lids are like new and may have been before I found them some 15 plus years ago. The price if for the set of two.

Nice Black Seller s Jar. The lid seems to have a coat of paint on it. There doesn t appear to be any damage anywhere. It is not amethyst but a sprayed on black coat. The bottom is not coated. I have the shakers somewhere to match but haven t yet located. Keep tuned for those.

This is a very nice brass double lever corkscrew. I beleave its made in "Italy" which is double lever.It is in excellent condition compared to its age. It measures 7.5" in the closed position and appears to have had little or no use.

This is the Easy Twist jar opener made by Foley. It features a chrome bar with a aqua blue painted metal handle and is about 7 ¾" long. The handle adjusts to fit nearly any jar. The aqua blue painted handle is marked Easy Twist, Pat. No. 2,931,258, By Foley, Removes All Screw Caps. This jar opener was issued a patent in 1960.
