European made, pocket matchsafe. Late 1880's. This brass devil with ruby red eyes and horns (Ivory?)is in wonderful condition. Push his nose and it releases the top to retrieve the match. Striker on base is concave and the ring holder is at the back of the lower head. This is the real thing.

The aluminum holder measures 6" across and when the globe is in place measures 7 1/2" in height. The globes are an etched floral design. One globe is damaged on the rim, and at one point I considered replacing them. I decided against it, since I believe these may be the original set (there is a faint greenish tint of older glass). The set is all hammered aluminum and copper, including the handle and knob on the lid. The width of the actual pan (not including the handle) is 10" and the height is 7" (not including the lid). The hammered motif is carried through on all pieces. There are no dents. The copper insert bowl needs cleaning with a good copper polish. I believe this line was a Lurelle Guild design. This is the 1 1/2 quart size. It is is without dents and no chips to the handle or the knob on the lid. The ring in the handle is secure, as well as the knob on the lid. The handle to the pan is tight with no damage. Some superficial scuffy marks. This lead figurine is a man wearing a tophat and kneeling on an old chair. He is made of lead and painted, (some worn off). Grey top hat, yellowish jacket, blue grey pants, black shoes and has his cane-walking stick in his hand. Believed to be a Victorian actor. He is 4 3/4" tall and 3" from shoe to chair front. English? Believe to be late 1800's, just not sure on this one!

Chestnut Roaster, Seller. This young boy with his hands in his pockets to keep them warm, is standing next to his chestnut roaster. He is standing on a carved wood base. Circa 1890 and believed to be English. No marks. This bronze figurine is 3 1/2" tall and weighs 8 oz.

Very nice Americana design. It is approximately 6 1/2 inches in height. No dents, small amount of rust on unenameled areas and 3 closely spaced scratches right at the lid. The lid is a 2-ply which keeps contents fresh. There is a spot of rust on the bottom of the interior.

Very old bird figurine, made of solid brass with coloring. Stamped made in India. You can tell by the mark and its heavy weight it is an old piece. My mother had bought this at an estate sale almost 40 years ago. It stands 2 3/4" tall. The base measures 2 x 3/4".
