Nice set probably from the '40's or '50's. Includes cover which is chrome or perhaps aluminum...it is heavier like chrome. Very shiny outside with one tiny little ding, inside has some tarnishing (see picture #2). Heavy glass cake dish is 11 1/4" across and can be used separately for serving; it has three glass feet underneath. Plate is grooved to fit cover. With the original box and paperwork is this wonderful bronze medallion from 1979 which was limited to 2000 in production. Commemorating the 100th anniversary of Standard oil Company in California. Artist Primo Angeli. Medal is 3" in diameter and 1/8" thick solid bronze. 100 years helping to create the future 1879-1979 is the logo. Leaflet included that tells the history of the commemoration. This vintage grease can is made from spun aluminum and measures 4 3/4 X 4 1/4 inches. It shows some light scratching on the outside and a few discoloration marks on the inside. Also, there is one dent on the bottom. This grease jar still looks pretty good for its age.
