Fine museum-quality bronze portrait medallion of Kleber dated 1831 by the famous French sculptor Pierre-Jean David (1789-1856), also known as David d’Angers who produced many of these medallions. He is probably best known for having sculpted the frieze on the pediment of the Pantheon in Paris.

Very Good French 17th Century Mortar & Pestle

Very nice early 17th century bronze mortar and pestle, probably from the Le Puy area of central France which had many foundries in that era. Note the good detail in the vertical elements. It is about 2.8 inches tall while the top diameter is 4.7 inches. It is heavy and has a good patina. We believe the pestle is original to the mortar.

Here we have featured a very nice old compote on a pedestal base. The bowl area is in the shape of a large sunflower. It really is a lovely piece, and is is made from metal with a gold leaf overlay. There is a little bit of tarnishing to the bottom, but the whole is in very good condition. It would look lovely as a fall centerpiece. ~Enjoy!

Rare bronze medal of the Normandie luxury liner and a souvenir of a sailing to Rio de Janeiro in 1938. Built by the Chantiers de l'Atlantique, in St. Nazaire, France. She began service in 1935 and was the largest and fastest ship ever to be built.
