Vintage Bronze Wire and Art Glass Leaves Tealight
Art Glass
Abuzz Antiques and Collectibles
$20.00 plus shipping
This is a really awesome one of a kind rare tealight or votive with what looks like bronze wire that frames the handmade leaves holding them in place. The inside votive is clear and has a mark on the bottom that looks like it could be an L, T, or R, but I'm not sure. The 4 leaves are 2 red, one yellow, and one orange. One leave, the yellow one, has a crack in it, but is still held securely in place by the framing. Other than that it is in great shape. The wire and the glass pieces look like they... Great condition with beautiful patina, a little verdigris. Could shine up if one desired, but we have left it with the patina as we found it. Beautiful Bronze Peasant or Pub Scene Plaque
Metalware: Bronze
Abuzz Antiques and Collectibles
$60.00 plus shipping
This is a really pretty metal plaque that looks like bronze, however I don't know for sure. It has what looks like a Victorian pub or peasant scene. The people look like they are listening to some one tell a story, the many smoking a pipe and sitting on a crate with ducks inside. There is a clock on the wall and what looks like a German or Bavarian hat. It has some damage to the edge, a nail hole and bends on the corners and a tear at the top edge like it was removed from a piece of furniture. I... Click for details

Heintz Art Metal vase number 3792C, cat tails
Silver
Bruce Cherner Antique Silver
1761 SOLD
Alas for poor "rare." The word is slung about with such frequency, especially on that auction site with the big blue Caveat Emptor at the front door, as to have lost all meaning. It is rare indeed to find a piece of Heintz Art Metal where some zealot hasn't tried to polish off part or all of the patination, but here is just such a beast. Height 7 5/8; top diameter 2 3/4 inches, dent in upper rim (please see third photo) but otherwise stellar condition.

Very Good French 17th Century Mortar & Pestle
Metalware: Bronze
Richards Antiques
$325
Very nice early 17th century bronze mortar and pestle, probably from the Le Puy area of central France which had many foundries in that era. Note the good detail in the vertical elements. It is about 2.8 inches tall while the top diameter is 4.7 inches. It is heavy and has a good patina. We believe the pestle is original to the mortar.
