Nice Russian front medal. Awarded to veterans who served in the disastrous eastern front campaign winter of 1941-1942. Although the veterans cynically called it the "frozen meat medal" it was worn with pride by those who earned it. Nice infantry officer's sword for the Imperial German state of Wurttemberg. 90%+ are Prussian so it's good to find off states. Blade has been sharpened so mildly it is hard to see; Otherwise normal age wear. Nice, crisp WKC maker mark and original leather washer. Guard does fold but no longer locks into place. Pair of WWI gaiters. I believe these are American. No markings that I could find, but I admit that I don't know where to look. This is out of my area of expertice so any inout is welcome. Heavy rubber cord on bottom that I assume is a non-period add on and could be taken off is apparantly there to replace the bottom straps. Some wear to the bottom. If I am asking too much please make an offer as these are meant to be sold.

Very attractive Gettysburg medal. Given to veterans present for the dedication of the New York monument in 1893. Unlike typical thin, cheesy GAR medals this is heavy and solid, really a neat medal with great color. All complete with some separation in the ribbon on the white stripe; Not bad but worth mentioning (See photos). Well done suspension from the upper bar which reads "GETTYSBURG VETERAN JULY 1-2-3 1863". Would look great in any Civil War display.

Very attractive bronze grade armored assault. Still retains a nice amount of bronze finish. This is a neat example as there is enough finish on the back that you can see the bubbling from beneath which happens on this type of zinc based badge. Just a neat, undisputable badge. Pin and assembly show nice age but still owrk nicely.

Top notch example of a magnetic WWI Iron Cross second class. Medal shows just the right level of toning and patination to be pleasing to the eye. Suspension eyelet is nice and straight and connects to the suspension ring which is hallmerked "KO". Ribbon is a gorgeous example and is dark under black light. Hard to beat this one.

DLV glider dagger by SMF. Dated pre April 1937 as scabbard throat has the winged propeller sybmol of the DLV. Scabbard is missing its leather wrap. Fittings are early nickel silver type and have the "k" stamped into the end of the crossguard as such early fittings should (See photo). Hanger strap shows wear but is complete, being properly held in place by two nickel silver oval shaped medallions. Handle is complete and shows typical wear. This is the Civil War discharge certificate for James M Bell, Captain Company D Thirteenth Pennsylvania Cavalry. James Bell. The unit saw heavy action including Culpepper Court House, Mine Run Campaign, Wilderness, Cold Harbor, Ream's Station. In the Battle of the Wilderness he was breveted a Captain for gallant services, and a Major for similar conduct at Ream's Station. Hard to find recruitment poster for the Waffen SS. Later war targeting Hitler Youth for service in the 12th Hitler Youth Division. Shows the progression of the young man from HJ to SS status. Bottom corners are bent with a small tear on the left dog ear and poster was folded into 1/8's. There are two small pieces of light cardboard glued onto the back from where it was once attached to something. All things considered, condition is excellent on this rare poster. 29x26.5cm.

This dagger is a ground Rohm SS dagger. I am fairly certain it has been played around with so while there are certainly good parts here I can't guarantee authenticity. Quality is actually quite good with cross graining evident throughout. Has the typical light runner marks and there is some lettering still showing above and below the grind job. Arbeitsbuch with entries covering from May of 1936 to August of 1940 when I presume the fellow was given a soldbuch to replace his arbeitsbuch. This is the earlier style so instead of the typical third reich eagle with the swaz in his claws this is a more Imperial style eagle and the swaz is located on each corner of the cover and, in fact, every corner of every page throughout the book. Does show some extremely light age wear but condition is overall crisp and terrific.

Two Sided Polish Eagle Flag

Most interesting two sided polish flag. I am not sure how to date Polish flags so will leave this undated. It does have honest age, though. Handsome eagle is on both sides and is very nicely attached with the stitching emphasizing the feather lines. Two holes in top (See photos), otherwise in nice shape.

Very interesting grouping for a soldier in the SS Polezei division. Yes, the papers are all loose in the book and condition is wanting. It is important to remember that soldbuchs were kept on the soldier's person while the wehrpass was kept with company HQ. That being said I doubt many soldbuchs have survived in any condition where the soldier enlisted in March of 1941, fought on the Russian front and was awarded the 1941-1942 Russian front medal, wound badges in black and silver and the infantr...
