Very nice pair of RAD athletic shorts featured in published reference book. Inside is sewn a name tag with the fellow's name, rank and unit: Arbeitsmann Rodel K. 2/230 . In the area of the name tag there is also some reinforcing stitching to the hem. On the rear is stamped 230 RADBAF ADGauXXIII, 36 III. Reiter Regiment 3 Engraved Sword by Alcoso - Third Reich German Army

Very nice Alcoso lion head army sword with unit engraved blade. The Alcoso logo is under the langet so I can not photograph but it is the first logo with just the letters ACS spread around the scales and no 'Solingen'. The very nicely done engraving reads Reiter Regiment No 3. This cavalry unit was disbanded just before the start of the war (Summer 1939) and used to form six different reconnaissance battalions. This would make the use of the first Alcoso logo appropriate. Blade is just short of... Click for details

WWII Italian Ethiopia Lapel Pin - Noi Tireremo Diritto Stickpin

Very cool Fascist Italian stickpin celebrating the victory in Ethiopia. On a circular about 28mm wide is shown Africa with a Roman legionary standard stuck in about the location of Ethiopia. Above is the slogan Noi Tireremo Diritto or "We will forge ahead" which was also a song released during the Ethiopian War 1935-1936 which celebrated the Fascist military campaigns and its resistance to League of Nations sanctions. Small pin with some interesting history behind it.

Very interesting set of 8 glass glass slides with period labels. There is some damage but most are still quite usable. The first attached image shows the grouping with the box in which I received them. The box metal reinforced corners to protect the slides, two of which are missing from the inside portion of the box. The second image is a slide showing U9 returning to port from an apparently successful voyage. Missing material from bottom left corner and a light crack above that. The next slide... Silver Lion Head Fire Official Sword by Eickhorn - German Imperial

Lovely Imperial German Fire Official sword by Eickhorn. The hilt is a lovely silvered lion head example by Eickhorn which shows deep and detailed casting with extra hand tooling through the lion's mane. Everything is done deluxe from the red gemstone eyes, quality fish skin grip with triple twisted wire wrap. The knuckle P-guard shows especially attractive oak leaves and acorns foliage which stands out vibrantly as it is cast with extra depth. The oak tree of course was considered a strong tree... WWI German Postcard - Soldiers w Machine Gun in Trenches

This is a really nice WWI postcard. It is a sepia image with a light exposure but very interesting when one gives it a moment. Nine fellows in field uniforms with a belt fed machine gun. One is wearing a holster and one holding a grenade but the trench setting is interesting. They look to be congregating in front of an entrance to the trench which is heavily sandbagged on top. There is plenty of wood planking underfoot as the trenches did become hopeless quagmires when it rained and wood... Click for details

Well, this would have been a terrific pith helmet but it looks like it might have gotten run over by a British tank or at least sat on by a fat sergeant. Whatever the cause might have been the only thing I can do is sell it cheap. Would be relatively presentable on a dummy head that could push it out a bit. Nice insignia and unbroken chinstrap.

Meissen Art Deco Wall Eagle - WWII SS Allach Porcelain Counterpart

Very attractive Art Deco style wall eagle from the Meissen company which is a long standing German porcelain company. Some say it controlled SS Allach but this relationship is hazy. However, Prof. Theodor Kärner who was one of the most prestigious porcelain artists in Germany worked for both companies so there was some overlap for sure. This eagle is a big sturdy thing reminiscent of German train eagles of the time (Relatively common in the collector market) but is the only such example I have... Click for details

1943 Dated Wehrpass. This one is very clean and in great condition with civilian photo of the fellow in question. He is older having been born in 1895 and it does say he served in the 256th Infantry Regiment from 1915 to 1916. There are a couple of stamps from the local recruitment board but not much else. Hopefully he was able to sit out the end of WWII but being a veteran of 50 years old would have made him prime Volkssturm material. At any rate, a very clean Wehrpass in great shape for... Very hard to find SS Germanische Leithefte. 3. Jahrg Heft 3 und 4 1943. I believe these were printed by the SS for the education of foreign volunteers to the Waffen SS. Just so they weren't joining for all the chicks and the company car. Covers military topics, history, culture as well as showing ideal German families, women and cute kids hugging baby farm animals. Inside leaf reads Herausgeber Reichsfuhrer SS - SS Haupamt" or "Published by the Reichsfuhrer Main Office". The cover is dry and... Click for details

Very cool grouping I have enjoyed for a long time. The first piece is a V1 rocket (Or V1 Flying Bomb) tinnie. I believe it is a homemade piece but it is well done, metal and includes etched lines for contours and markings seen on the real thing. The pin on the back is soldered on and is loose but would be an easy fix if need be. I would think this was probably made during the war by some HJ kid. The booklet is the hard to find The Story of Antwerp X. It details the joint British, Polish and... Click for details

Top notch private purchase infantry officer visor cap. This one is a cherry on the outside with a nice tight shape and no nips to the shell, piping or velvet band. Excellent bullion eagle, wreath and cockade as preferred by frontline personnel. The visor is also in excelent shape top and bottom. The inside sweatband reads Stirndruckfrei (Pressure free to the forehead) and has the patent number (DRGM...). About two inches of the sweatband on the wearer's left has been restitched but looks like a... Click for details
