Masonic WWI Silver Medal Named and Numbered R Gaunt
Militaria

Brandywine Militaria
1023233   $139

Very attractive WWI Masonic medal. Numbered 1894 and named to Bro E.M. Price. Pin catch is maker marked R Gaunt London. The Gaunt firm is well known for quality manufacturing and this medal is no exception. Nice and thick and heavy, this is a solid and well made medal. As with most Masonic items it is covered with symbology that I will not try to decipher. The front has the dates 1914 and 1918 which obviously represent WWI. The pin catch is a little bent and I will leave it as is. Ribbon has... Click for details

Luftwaffe Four Pocket Tunic Well Marked WWII German
Militaria

Brandywine Militaria
1018066   $1,160

Reasonable example of a getting-hard-to-find four pocket luftwaffe tunic. First the negatives: Has an area of mothing on the inside of each fly. Under wearer's left upper pocket there is a repair (Period repair-doesn't glow). Two of the gulls on left tab are missing one prong each. On the brighter side, it is a decent tunic that shows well as none of the damage is visible on the outside when on display. Left sleeve has rank chevrons. All stitching is period done and unmessed with. Good looking... Click for details

Artillery Colonel Walking Out Tunic WWII German
Militaria

Brandywine Militaria

I like this tunic as it really tells its own story. It is a brown walking out type tunic. In the close up of the medal bar the pocket flap is pulled up to show the fabric underneath, showing the age toning of the outside of the tunic. The 8 space ribbon bar shows a combination of Imperial and Third Reich medals including army long service, Eastern front 1941 and WWI iron cross with 1939 spange. There are medal loops below the ribbon bar; It looks like an Iron Cross 1st Class is missing but the... Click for details

Antifaschistische Aktion Belt Buckle Pre WWII German
Militaria

Brandywine Militaria
1014433   $399

Very interesting Antifaschistische Aktion belt buckle. Looks to be made from a heavy, early defaced German belt buckle; Likely either an SA or WWI example. The groups emblem on top is about the size of a penny. On the bottom half of the buckle is the profile bust of what looks like a communist officer. The solder job is old so there is a bit of looseness and a little wiggle to the emblem. The group was forcefully dissolved by the nazis in 1933 but apparantly was revived in the 1980's. Very... WWII German Postcard - Governemnt General Warsaw

Extremely interesting WWII German postcard. The front shows a dramatic rendering of a German infantryman with a head wound carrying a more heavily wounded comrade on his shoulders through a desolate field of trenches and barbed wire. The personality of this postcard does not end with the front, though. On the rear is a stamp from the Genral Government (The German designation of the offices running the area of occupied Poland). It also reads Krakau and "GROSSDEUTCHES REICH". The eagle and swaz... Click for details

Officer Onboard Pennant WWI or WWII German Navy Flag
Militaria

Brandywine Militaria
1012507   $278

I believe this flag is meant to note that a higher ranking officer is onboard the vessel from which it is flying from. Markings on the spine are a bit faded out and hard to read. The tip has a few lines of reinforcement stitching. One loop has been cut off; No doubt from the original souvenir hunter cutting it right off of its mountings. It is a loose weave so there is the odd little hole here and there. Long edges are almost 28 inches and the short edge is about 17 inches. When purchasing this... Click for details
