Leather Belt w Equipment Loop - WWII German Mlitary
click for details
Nice belt leather for WWII German military. No maker marks. Aluminum hook has a diamond with PM inside for Paul Meybauer. The equipment loop is also aluminum. What is nice is that this loop is a perfect match for the belt in both color ad condition. The loop does have some lettering but it is faint and I can't really make out what it says. Set does have some age wear as per attached photos but the leather is healthy and looks much better in then in the photos. This is due to my heavy flash photo... Click for details

Engraved Belgian Cavalry Officer Saber by WKC 19th Cent

This is a lovely Belgian Cavalry saber. German blade makers were very popular with many different countries at the time and this was most certainly a private purchase. The size is very comparable to the U.S. model 1860 cavalry saber so I would date this right around the mid 19th century. The blade is engraved POUR LE ROI - ET LA PATRIE, French for "For King and Homeland". The lion rampant shown on both the blade engraving and the handle indicate this is Belgian. Other then the engraving the blad... Click for details

Very nice early 1847 pattern Prussian Belt and buckle. This pattern was used through 1895. Attached sixth image shows the reverse with solder points. The buckle is quite attached to the leather so I decided not to remove it for photos. Rare to find with the proper leather belt. There is one scrunched edge on the leather as well as a small square from an old price sticker. Very nice, early belt.

Ostland Revenue Eisen Stamp - Occupied Russia Ration

Very interesting WWII Ostland Eisen revenue trade chits. These were used in Germany as well as eastern occupied areas such as Russia, Poland, Western Ukraine and were used as an exchange chit for trading agricultural goods for steel or iron. I do not know the particular details but that is the gist. There a couple of different watermarks and one that was glued on something along the way. They look to be very nonchalantly cut but the basic size is 4x6cm. Very cool looking and interesting pieces.

Belt Leather Marked to Luftwaffe Signals Battalion 1937

Very nice early leather belt. Dated 1937 and marked to L. Nachr Kp 1/15. These markings are very clear but there are some other that I can't quite make out. Shows some mild wear as might be expected as it predates the war by two years, but in general the leather is nice and healthy. Nice belt.

SS Belt Buckle - Interesting Variant Steel Overhoff

Every now and then when we think we've seen it all something comes along. The general rule is that if it isn't known by now it probably didn't exist but I think this is legitimate. The buckle is a typical late war unmarked steel Overhoff but very tiny near the edge on the catch side is a "Ges gesch". It is very subtle but is an interesting twist that I have never seen before. Cool possible addition for an SS buckle collection.

Very nice RAD belt buckle with leather tab. The front of this aluminum buckle is superb with high relief and virtually no wear. The reverse is nicelt marked with the Assmann A on one side of the shovel and 37 on the other side. The leather tab is correctly marked F.W. ASSMANN & SOHNE LUDENSCHEID and dated 1937. The tab does show some age wear but is in generally nice condition with no real damage and nice clear maker mark. Very nice buckle.

Interesting army officer dagger from East Germany. Mint in original issue box with hangers and belt loop. Intriguingly, the warranty is still present offerring 12 month warranty from June 20 1990. The German Democratic Republic closed shop on October 3 1990. I would have had little confidence in this warranty. The serial number 085602 is on the ricasso of the dagger, the warranty and even the box, although a bit faded on box as per last attached image. All in mint condition except the box which ... Nice pair of black widow Luger grips. Unfortunately someone along the way found the need to carve a "W" on one side. The other side has one small hit (See next to last photo). This is a shame because otherwise these grips are in great shape with no cracking or warping and nice, unworn checking. I hope "W" feels bad for what he did.

Totenkopf Panzer Ring 830 Silver - WWII German Army

Absolutely cool, absolutely real silver panzer skull ring. Recently came out of a veteran's estate. Smallish size would fit well with a panzerman as they sought smaller guys for that job. The band is cut at the bottom which is typical of GI souvenir hunters in a hurry. The skull reference goes back to the Napoleonic era Hussars and was adopted by the tank arm as a continued tradition of elite mobile warfare units. This is a different animal to the SS skull so no unpleasant connections. Properly ... Click for details

Very attractive sukashi openwork tsuba. At almost exactly 8cm in diamter it is a nice large katana sized piece. Motif features a small tea house subtly located in the bottom corner and generously surrounded by paulownia branches towards the bottom and maple branches towards the top. The design effectively presents the traditional idea that the tea house should be subordinated to nature, fitting in with natural surroundings instead of dominating its environment. Lovely tsuba with some gold highli... Click for details
