Dedicated E Pack Police Dress Bayonet - WWII German
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$343
Wonderfully engraved and age darkened dedication on the pommel of this E Pack dress bayonet. Fur treuer Kameradschaft II Lehrgang basically translates to "In true friendship/comradeship 2nd training Group". "Lehr" indicates a school or training situation. Balde is marked E PACK & SOHNE and is a near perfect example (9.9 out of 10). The frog is also very nice and maker marked CARL HENKEL BELEFELD. Scabbard is undented but paint job is well worn and blistered but these are replaceable and the priz... Click for details

Pickelhaube Inkwell - WWI Imperial german Spiked Helmet
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$162
Very nicely rendered inkwell in the form of a Prussian pickelhaube. As a bonus there is a sword going through the helmet as well. Fittings are all complete with good detail. Even the chinstrap is real leather. Inside the well itself is a thimble (Which comes out easily enough if need be) which is useful in reducing the size of the well for smaller amounts of ink. The bse is a black finished metal disk which is interesting because this looks like the same material and finish of the plates used in... Click for details

Heer Pioneer NCO Visor Cap - WWII German Army Engineer
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$399
Nice army engineer NCO visor cap. Size is 54 and marked on crown. There is some moth nipping mostly on the felt band. This is certainly priced in and is subtle as the colors are dark throughout and next layer doesn't show much at all. Visor remains very nice and shows only some very minor wear. In the corner of the visor there is a touch of glue showing and the sweatband is stuck on at that spot. Apparently there was some minor repair but everything looks fine with no evident damage so I am not ... Click for details

Italian 8th Alpini Regiment Cappello -WWII Alpine Troop
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$418
Very interesting Italian mountain troop cap from the 8th Alpini regiment. As is often the case with Italian insignia, the gold bullion eagle is just a beautiful example. There is one snag to bullion that could easily be glued or tucked in. The 8th Alpini Feltre Battalion enamel pin on the side is a great item and of some solid value on its own. Because this cap is so well made it has a high wool content which unfortunately makes it a favored target of moths. There are two spots of nips (Shown in... Click for details

SS Dagger M7/81 1241/39 - WWII German
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$1589
SS dagger marked M7/81 RZM 1241/39 SS. Maker is Eickelnberg & Mack or Karl Tiegel. While condition is not superb the consistancy of aging gives this dagger an honest feel. The plating shows uniform age wear throughout, from handle fittings through the scabbard and even the hanger fittings. The scabbard paint shows significant wear but has obviously never been messed with. Black ebony handle shows the exepected wear along the top and bottom crossguard. The blade has been a bit over buffed so mott... Click for details

Stag Horn Police bayoney by Eickhorn w Matching Numbers
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$609
Respectable police bayonet with matching numbers S.S.142. Manufactured by Eickhorn. Blade shows some very light freckling which will become even lighter with a bit of oil. It looks like one stag grip was replaced as the sides show different finishing technique and the side without the police eagle inset has two filled in holes. Not perfect but priced accordingly.

Rev War Era French Naval Artillery Short Sword
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$1699
Lovely French naval artillery shorts sword which saw service from about 1771 to 1790, a span which perfectly brackets the American Revolutionary War. This exact sword is featured in George C Neumann'a important Swords & Blades of the American Revolution. I have the Third Edition from 1991 and find it on page 189. As the French both supplied troops and also equipped many of the American units it is very likely that this saw service in that war and, as it recently came out of a house in Pennsylvan... Spanish Blue Division Grouping - WWII German Volunteer
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$199
The Spanish Blue Division represented the Spanish military contribution to the German effort in WWII. For Franco's part it was a way to get the hotheads out of town. For the soldier's part, the Blue Division represented a solid group of anticommunist believers. As a result, the Blue Division is widely accepted to have fought like tigers and was certainly one of the more effective volunteer "legions" in the German war effort and are generally accepted as being an elite unit. This wonderful little... Click for details

Navy Dagger Hanger Short Strap - WWII German Naval
Militaria
Brandywine Militaria
$159
Nice short strap naval dagger hanger. The short one is the one with the swivel hook. This one is in decent shape with light age wear. Gold wash finish is generally solid with some rubs on higher relief. The strap layers on the top are separated but this is actually very subtle since on the short strap there isn't much room for them to pull apart. Could easily be resewn but will leave it as is on my side. Price right.
